TODAY’S THOUGHT
Here we see King David writing a psalm about God’s blessing in his life. David felt blessed because God gave him the joy of being in His presence. Joy comes from deep bonded relationships, especially with God. That is why we were created. God desires our fellowship. He has endowed each of us with eternal blessings that come from the joy of His presence. But do we even pay attention to God? Much like a marriage, you can choose to enjoy each other’s company or you can keep busy ignoring each other’s companionship and wonder years later, why the love is gone. Today, choose to be conscious of the presence of God. Choose to stop and meditate on who He is and the infinite love He has for you. When you do, you will find true joy.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, make me conscious of Your presence. Help me to experience today, the deep joy of knowing You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and fill my heart with Your love.

TODAY’S MEDITATION & VISUALIZATION
I live in the awareness of God
Picture yourself in the presence of God. Not passively but focused, attuned into God. Feel His love for you. Picture Him being happy with you, full of love for you. As you sense His presence become aware of the fact that He is aware of you. You are the object of His attention. He loves you and desires for you to fully know Him. Worship Him and thank Him for His presence. Affirm today that it is your desire to live in the awareness of His presence.

“And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.”

TODAY’S THOUGHT
David knew what it was to struggle with moral choices. Doing the right thing is not always easy. We struggle with all kinds of conflicting thoughts, attitudes and emotions. Paul struggled this way. In Romans 7 he wrote, “I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong.” The good news is Paul knew where to look for help. Paul asks the question, “Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?” Both David and Paul knew the answer.  It is God that can set you and I free if we let Him. David cries out to God, “Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me.” Paul writes, “The power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin.” What a glorious thought. God, through the power of His Holy Spirit, enables you and I to be free from the tyranny of sin with all it’s guilt and shame. Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, the instruction from the word of God and the encouragement of other believers we can live the life God desires us to. Will we sin? Yes, but it doesn’t have to be our master. Our allegiance is to Christ and He has set us free!

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for forgiving me. Thank You for the power of the life-giving Holy Spirit that has freed me from the power of sin, guilt and shame.

TODAY’S MEDITATION & VISUALIZATION
I have been set free from the bondage of sin
Feel the weight of chains and shackles that have you bound. Feel the burden of your sinfulness before a Holy and Just God. As you do, picture Jesus coming by with His nail scarred hands. He comes to you and says, “I died for you, be free! Feel the chains fall off and the weight gone. Rejoice that you have been set free from the bondage of sin.

TODAY’S THOUGHT
What is the purpose of light? It is to invade darkness. It is light that permeates darkness. Think about it. Darkness is simply the absence of light. You can’t add more darkness to a situation, but you can take away the light. Jesus warned us about that very thing. He said not to cover our light. And yet that is exactly what we do. We keep Jesus all to ourselves. We have our fellowship with other believers on an  island of light far away from the darkened shores of the land around us. We have hoarded the light. Today might we hear the call of  God and instead of hoarding the light become GIVERS of the light! We must rise up and give away the light. We must invade the world’s darkness and shine the hope, peace, love, joy, and patience that we have in Christ – Might our cry be, “God help us shine the light!

TODAY’S PRAYER
Oh Father, maker of light. You have invaded my dark heart with your light. Yet I must confess that I am guilty of hoarding that light. Forgive me. Help me to invade the darkness around me and share your light with everyone I can.  Might all around know the light of Your love!

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I let Christ’s light shine in my life
Picture yourself in old campground. No electric lights, only lanterns provide any light at all. It is dark and your job is to light the lanterns. Visualize, as one by one you light each lanterns. Slowly the darkness starts to dissipate. As you finish, you turn and see people play and fellowship in the light. Sense the joy of sharing your light with those around you. Visualize your light getting brighter and brighter as you share it with others. Let God give you a vision of bringing the light of truth to those around you.

TODAY’S THOUGHT
How many times have we felt inadequate in a situation? If only there was something that could help us? It is easy to feel this way about our spiritual life. How can we live for God? How can we live this Christian life the way He wants us to? By ourselves we can’t. But the good news is, “He has given us everything we need for life and godliness.” How? Through His presence, His power and His promises. Today, spend time and get to know God. Talk to Him. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. If you will spend time getting to know God, you will find that He does indeed have everything you need for life and godliness.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear God, I want to live the life You want me to, but I can’t do it by myself. I need You. I need Your presence, your power and your promises in my life. Reveal Yourself to me today and in the days to come, so I can get to know You more and more and live the life You desire for me.

God’s presence, power and promises gives me all I need for life
See yourself standing in the presence of God. As you sit before Him you receive a Bible. In it are His promises toward you. As you read, your faith increases. Your trust in God and His promises give you hope and you feel a power rise up in your life. As you go about your day you find His presence, power and promises giving you everything you need for living a Godly life. Sense a joy in your heart and thank Him for His mighty promises.

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Sometimes you hit a wall. Something comes along and has you completely baffled. You have no answers. Nothing makes sense. There doesn’t seem to be any reason to what is happening. What can you do? James offers a solution. He says, “Ask God for wisdom.” So, when your are perplexed, upset and worried, stop, wait on God and cry out to Him. God cares and He promises that He will generously give you wisdom. 

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, I need wisdom. I need Your guidance and understanding. You have promised that You will give wisdom to me generously.  I come to You in faith asking You to give me that wisdom today. In Jesus’ name. AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
When I ask, God will give me wisdom
Visualize yourself in a perplexing situation. You feel the pressure. Stress is building up and no matter what you do, there doesn’t seem to be an answer to your dilemma. See yourself asking God for wisdom. Feel His joy as you come to Him. Sense His presence and full attention toward your situation. He nudges you, gives you a sense of direction, inspires you and you begin to move with faith toward a solution. Affirm, “When I ask, God will give me wisdom.”

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Fear comes in different shapes and sizes. To be sure, there are full-blown phobias and crippling fears that can interrupt our life; but for most of us, fear is more insidious. Fears of rejection, insignificance, and abandonment may not interrupt our life but they can sure influence the way we think and act. Our thoughts, motives and behaviors are constantly shaped by either faith or fear. The Psalmist found the secret. He said that if we seek the Lord, He will deliver us from all our fears. Turn on the light of faith and the darkness of fear will dissipate. Decide to seek God today. Move away from fear and move your thinkng toward faith.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Lord, I want to trade my fears for faith. Today, when fear comes to my attention, I will seek You. I will seek You with all of my heart. Thank You that You promise to deliver me.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God delivers me from my fear
Bring yourself into the presence of God. Sense Him there. Take the big bag of fears that you have brought with you and lay them at His feet. Visualize yourself pulling each fear out of the bag one by one. As you do you notice that God is not flinching. He is not worried. His peace begins to give you confidence and as you bring out each fear you take a piece of His peace and put it in your bag. Affirm, “God delivers me from my fears!”

TODAY’S THOUGHT
This is one of the greatest promises in the Bible. It is true for every child of God. Nothing – nothing – nothing can separate you from the love of God! You may feel like His love is distant, you may have doubts, you may be in circumstances where it seems like God is nowhere near, but the truth remains. His love is with you and He is conscious of you right now, this very moment! Stop and recognize His presence. Be still and know that He is your God.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Almighty God, my Heavenly Father. I renounce all negative beliefs that lead me to think that You do not care or have abandoned me. I pray that You will, this very moment, make me conscious of Your presence. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to really understand that nothing has or ever will separate me from Your love. Thank You for Your great love for me.

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
Nothing can separate me from the love of God
See yourself walking against a strong wind. Dark clouds are coming in, a frigid temperature accompanies the strong wind. An ominous feeling comes over you and then you remember, “Nothing can separate me from the love of God!” Feel the peace of God come over you. Sense a deep faith welling up inside of you as it begins to give you joy. See God watching and sense His presence protecting you. Affirm deep in your heart, “Nothing can separate me from the love of God!”

TODAY’S THOUGHT
There is a world in such need, but we are so busy we don’t see it. We are so inwardly focused, so concerned about our own welfare, we don’t stop to help others. That is not the way of Christ! Our churches should be making huge differences in our communities, but we don’t. When will this change? It can change TODAY if you and I decide to do something. Today, we can make a difference in someone’s life if we just open our eyes and hearts. May God help us to “walk our talk.”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Lord Jesus, help me see other peoples’ needs with Your eyes. Bring someone into my life today who needs help. Give me the mercy to stop, the wisdom to know what to do and then the love to do it. Thank You, God, for all You have done for me; help me do for others.

I help those in need
Visualize your self going about your own business and you come across someone in need. Sense God’s tug on your heart. Feel compassion build up in you. Feel the joy as you see yourself stopping to meet their needs. Feel a commitment toward being merciful and giving away the love of God. See God full of joy as His love flows through you. Affirm the fact that, “I help those in need!”

TODAY’S MESSAGE
There is one prayer that has made all the difference in my life. It is one I have to pray over and over again. It is a form of discipline, for if I don’t pray this prayer I will not keep my Spiritual vitality. The prayer is simple and yet powerful. It is, “Lord make me conscious of Your presence.” Being conscious of God’s presence makes all the difference in the world. Because David was conscious of the fact that God was always with him, right beside him, he was not shaken during life’s struggles. Instead God guided him and instructed his heart at night. How about you and I? What if today we were conscious of God right next to us? What if we knew that He was in the same room we were? What if we sensed that He heard our thoughts and prayers and would to answer the questions we have? What if we experienced His comforting presence when we are under pressure? What if we knew He was present to hold our hand when we had that extremely difficult task to do? God is. God is always with us. Let us be conscious of His presence in all that we do today.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear God, thank you for being with me constantly. Please make me aware of your presence today. Help me to see how relevant you are to my life. Help me experience your presence, to really know that you are always with me, in fact right beside me. Father, open my eyes to see you, my ears to hear you and my heart to sense your very presence. In Jesus name.

God is always beside me
This is an easy assumption to take for granted. It is easy to live as if He in not there. So today focus on one truth. Visualize one thing. Give your attention to the abiding presence of God. See your self going through a day. Everywhere you go, Christ is right with you. Feel His presence. Sense the Holy Spirit alive in your heart. See it, feel it, sense it. Affirm, “God is always beside me.”

“I love you, O LORD, my strength.”
Psalms 18:1 (NIV)

TODAY’S MESSAGE
Strength is the energy that God gives us to complete a task. It is what helps us endure to the end. Strength is also what helps us resist negative forces. What better place to get strength than from God? He is able to provide all the strength we need to do what He calls us to do. Need to love someone who is unlovely? Ask Him for strength. Need to forgive someone who hurt you deeply? Ask Him for strength. Have to do something that seems impossible? Ask Him for strength. Is fear crippling you, depression strangling you? Ask Him for strength. Paul said, “I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.” We can experience the same reality that Paul did. And when we do, we will be able to say with David, “I love you, O Lord, my strength!”

TODAY’S PRAYER
Almighty God, I need your strength. I can’t live the life you want me to without it. Help me Father. Give me all the strength I need to do all that you ask me to do this day. I thank you for hearing this prayer. I will step out in faith and go forward in the power and strength of your might.

TODAY’S MEDITATION & VISUALIZATION
God gives me strength for living
Visualize yourself coming to a very difficult task. Sense the stress it brings. Start to feel the apprehension build in your body. Take a deep breath and as you let it out let the awareness of Christ and His strength fill your heart. See Him coming to your aid. Sense the presence of the Holy Spirit. Realize that you are not alone and begin to relax. Let your apprehension be replaced with peace and confidence. God is alive and He will give you strength!
