TODAY’S VERSE
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Today’s passage is one of the secrets to living a joyful life. Other translations use the word “hope” or “trust” instead of wait. But with the word “wait” you have hope and trust in action. Waiting is a verb. So often WE want to do something and don’t wait to let God do His will. We want to “fix” things when God wants to bring change. Waiting is often the hardest work we can do. And the most profitable. So when you are worried sick – wait on the Lord. When you first get up in the morning– wait on the Lord. When your child is late getting home – wait on the Lord. When your money is running out – wait on the Lord.
When you get discouraging news – wait on the Lord. Today, wait on the Lord and He will renew your strength. He will help you soar like an eagle. He will help prevent you from getting weary or fainting.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, help me to learn to wait on You. Help me trust You and put all my hope in You. Thank You that You have promised that I will not grow weary or faint.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
When I wait on God, He renews my strength
How do we wait? Chances are slowing down and meditating is hard because our tendency is to be busy, be thinking, be doing. So today, STOP! Take a deep breath and give yourself five minutes to just “wait” in God’s presence. Just wait. Nothing said, nothing done, just wait. When you are through, thank God for His presence with you and set a time to do it again. Watch, over time, He will renew your strength!

TODAY’S VERSE
“May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do. Then the name of our Lord Jesus will be honored because of the way you live, and you will be honored along with him. This is all made possible because of the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ.”
II Thessalonians 1:11-12 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Who are we that the almighty God of the universe would allow us to serve Him? Yet, that is what God has done. He specifically created us to love Him, worship Him and serve Him. But what is so amazing, is that He did not create us like robots and program us to serve Him or beat us down and force us to live for Him. No, He has drawn us toward Him by His grace. Grace, that mixture of His love, mercy, compassion, forgiveness, concern and favor, all rolled into one. It is His grace toward us that encourages our faith and compels us to live for Him. God pours His love into our heart and then empowers us to do whatever our heart desires. What has your faith in God prompted you to do for Him lately? If the answer is vague, it is not too late. God has grace enough to forgive you. He has grace enough to encourage you. He has grace enough to empower you. Come to God today and may your faith prompt you to accomplish good things for Him.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Thank You, Lord, for Your grace in my life. I pray that You will prompt me to do great things for You and then give me the power to do them. Father, might You be honored today in the way I live for You.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God is empowering me to live for Him
Picture God opening your heart and pouring His love and power inside it. Slowly let His strength fill you. Slowly, breathe in and sense His love filling you from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head. Exhale. Again, breathe in slowly and let God fill you with His power. Picture yourself living with joy serving Him.

TODAY’S VERSE
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
II Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Troubles happen. There are so many variables in life. It is good to have dreams, to make plans and to choose paths; however, you and I know that things don’t always go the way we plan. What do we do when things seem to get all messed up? We’ve asked for wisdom, for guidance, but now it calls for something more. Something very special. It calls for grace. According to Merriam-Webster grace means “unmerited divine assistance”. This was given to us when we asked Him to forgive us for all that we did to separate ourselves from Him. And more that that, He made us His child. Our forgiveness was totally unmerited. There was nothing we could do to deserve it. In today’s verse, Paul is saying that God wants us to live life in the same way we received His forgiveness and became His child. How? By relying on God’s unmerited divine assistance. Paul gave us his own testimony. When nothing was going right and Paul kept asking God to move in certain directions, God had to say, “No!” It was not the direction God had for Paul. Instead God was saying, “Paul, you are going to have to trust me; but don’t worry, my grace, my intervention in your life that you could never earn, is going to get you through.” This is what hope is about. This is what faith is based on. This is the reality of our walk with Christ. No matter what we go through, God promises that His grace is all we need! Today, admit to God your need for His grace in your life. Humble yourself before Him, and acknowledge His ability (and desire) to see you through this day.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I need You in my life today. I need Your divine assistance. I need Your amazing grace. I know that I do not deserve it. You have lavishly poured Your love into my life and I praise You. Thank You for all that You have done for me. Thank You that today, Your grace is all I need to get me through. In Jesus Name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God uses His power to help me
Today mediate on God’s power. Miraculous, mighty power. Now picture yourself before God and He is saying, “I want to use my power to help you.” Visualize God using His power to help you through your difficult situations.

TODAY’S VERSE
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Galatians 5:22 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. What a list. It is easy to focus on each attribute and begin to feel overwhelmed by the challenge to master each one. But that is not what today’s verse is suggesting. Rather, it is saying that the list of attributes are the result of living in the Spirit. In nature, if we want fruit, we have to nourish the tree it grows on. Fruit is only produced when the tree is healthy. Likewise, when we fellowship with the Spirit, live in harmony with His direction and follow His leading every day, the Spirit’s fruit will be produced in our lives. As the Holy Spirit instructs, rebukes, guides and comforts us, and if we respond to His voice, we will experience His fruit.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Holy Spirit, I want Your fruit to grow in my life. I know that is only possible through letting You guide my life. Help me hear Your promptings. Let me experience fellowship with You today. Guide me in all things. Fill me, Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name I ask it.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
The Holy Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in my life
Sense the presence of the Holy Spirit residing in you. He is there and he wants to produce love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in your life. Picture the Holy Spirit taking each of the attributes and nurturing, watering and feeding them. Sense them growing deep in your soul affecting the way you think and act. Allow the Holy Spirit full control of your life so He can produce the Fruit of the Spirit in your life today.

TODAY’S VERSE
Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:
Psalms 37:3-5 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
There is a spiritual rhythm in these three verses. It really speaks to the soul. It is like drinking a tall, cool glass of water after coming in from a steamy, hot day. Somehow trust, delight and commit seem to go together. Today, start with trusting God. Give everything over to Him. Let go, trust Him. Then stop and delight in Him. Feel His love. Let Him give you deep joy. Delight in His presence. Finally, bow before Him and commit everything to Him. Put your life in His hands. And you know what? He says He will give us the desires of our heart. It doesn’t get any better than this!

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, I come to You now and trust You with all my concerns, and worries. I choose to delight in You. I commit myself joyfully into Your hands. Thank You that You have promised that if I trust, delight and commit to You, You will give me the desires of my heart.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I chose to trust God
Quite your heart and visualize yourself at a crossroad. You are at the intersection of two country roads. You have to make a choice. You are not sure where you are or where you are going. The one sign says “Uncertainty” the other says, “God’s plan.” As you read today’s passage, you decide to trust in God, to delight in Him and commit your way to him. Feel the sense of freedom, joy and peace as you choose to walk down the road called, “God’s Plan.” Breath deep and say, “Lord, I put my trust in You!”

TODAY’S VERSE

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.”
Isaiah 26:3-4 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Every day is a new day. Every day! That means that today you have a choice. You can choose to move toward peace. You do this by trusting God. Trusting that no matter how you feel, no matter what the circumstances that God can still give you peace. He promises. Now peace may not take away the problems you are facing. Peace may not change any consequences you have or change the events of the past. But the peace that God offers passes our understanding. It supersedes our circumstances.  It brings hope where there is no hope. Today, come to God, fix your thoughts on Him and may He fill your heart with peace.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, you know my heart. You know my circumstances. You know my needs. I come to You today and am fixing my thoughts on You, Your love for me and Your ability to overcome all my negativity. I ask for Your peace to fill my heart and mind.
In Jesus’ name I pray.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God gives me peace!
Quiet your heart and go to a peaceful place in your mind. When you are quiet, picture God’s presence there. Invite God to invade your space. When you are conscious of His presence, tell Him that you want to put all your trust in Him. Give Him your worries, fears, concerns. Ask Him for faith, courage and peace. Hold your hands out to Him and receive all the faith, courage and peace your heart can hold. Be at peace in Him.

TODAY’S VERSE
Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin.
Psalms 51:1-2 (NLT)
If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
I John 1:8-9 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Forgiveness. It is the most exciting concept in the Bible. God loves you and I so much, but our negative attitudes, the wrongs that we have done, and the things that we have failed to do–these and more have separated us from our Holy God. But today’s verses offer great news. These scriptures assure us that if we confess our sins, repent from our negative ways and ask for His forgiveness, He will forgive and treat us as if we had never done wrong at all. His love is unconditional. His desire to forgive is insatiable. He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from it all.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Lord Jesus, it is hard for me to believe that You never tire of forgiving me. Help me believe it. You know me, You understand me, and even with all my tendencies, You choose to love me with a never-dying love. I confess my sin today. Please forgive me, cleanse me and help me rise in true freedom, forgiveness and joy to serve You.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I am completely forgiven by Christ
Close your eyes and come into the presence of God. Be very deliberate in what you sense. Not a God of your choosing, but the God that David describes. Sense His unfailing love toward you. Now think of His great compassion. See God cleansing you of all guilt and shame. Be at peace in His presence and accept His relentless love for you. Say out loud, “I am loved and completely forgiven by Christ!”
