TODAY’S VERSE
“Answer my prayers, O LORD, for your unfailing love is wonderful. Take care of me, for your mercy is so plentiful.”
Psalms 69:16 (NLT)

“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.”
II Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Sometimes it is hard to hang on. Tragic news, delayed answers, unfulfilled dreams, disappointing outcomes; it is easy to get discouraged. But God knows what we are going through. He invites us to share our cares with Him. We can call upon God’s great love, goodness and mercy to sustain us. Even Jesus knew what it was to throw Himself at the mercy of God. When facing His eminent torturous death, He cried out to His father, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” And though He died, God’s grace never left Him. The Father took the cup of death from Him when He rose from the dead. What is it you need relief from? What has you down and discouraged? What is it that seems so overwhelming? Bring it to Jesus. Lay your burden at the foot of the cross and hear Jesus say to you, what He said to Paul, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weskness.” Might you find His grace enough for you today.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You that no matter what my circumstances, You promise that Your grace will be sufficient for me. Your wisdom will guide me. Your love will embrace me and draw me to Your side. I choose to live my life today in that reality. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S VISUALIZATION & MEDITATION
God’s grace is enough for me!
Think of a time when you were close to God. A time when you were conscious of His presence and you felt safe and secure in Him. Rest in that memory. Next think of today. Consider all your worries, issues, and negative circumstances. Now bring the safe and secure memory and superimpose it on today’s circumstance. The Bible teaches that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Let the God of your memory, be the same for you today. He cares, He loves you and His grace is enough for you.

TODAY’S VERSE
“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
Romans 8:37 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
For most of us working day by day it is hard to get our hand around the meaning of conqueror. Perhaps for an athlete, a person in sales or merger and acquisitions or someone in the military, the word has more meaning. Most of us know little about the word. Sure we win the occasional argument, get our proposal passed, even get our children to listen to what we say, but that is far from being a vanquisher of all that comes against us. Paul knew that we would be in Spiritual battle. He knew that we would face life’s issues point blank and our flesh, the world and the Devil would do everything they could to discourage and defeat us. That is why the Spirit of God had him write that even in “trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger or sword” we are more than conquerors. Not just conquerors, more than conquerors. The best way I have heard it described was by Rick Renner in his book, “365 Days of Power”. He writes, “I boldly declare that in Jesus Christ, I am a conqueror who is utmost, paramount, foremost, first-rate, first-class and top-notch; greater, higher, and better than; superior to; preeminent, dominant, incomparable; more than a match for; unsurpassed, unequaled, and unrivaled by any challenge that would ever try to come against me! I declare this in Jesus’ name!” Today, let us believe the same about ourself.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Thank you Lord that You have given me power, in the Holy Spirit, to overcome adversity, discouragement, and every Spiritual attack that besets me. Help me take my eyes off my past defeats and look to Your love and the power of Your resurrection available to me today. Thank You Lord that today I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus my Lord.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus
What a metaphor for visualization. See yourself coming against all the difficulties that you are having. See Jesus right there with you giving you the strength, courage and skills to overcome all your foes. Feel the joy of victory. Sense the confidence in knowing that with Jesus you are more than a conqueror. Let the peace and joy from knowing that God loves you and helps you in your hardest time, fill your heart. Proclaim out loud, “I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus!”

TODAY’S VERSE
“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
How important is it for you and I to spend time with God in His word? It is imperative! It is a must. If we are going to live the kind of life God wants us to, then we must spend time listening to what God has to say about it. Everything we do is based on the various beliefs, perceptions, and assumptions we have. Many of these were shaped in childhood. Others are the result of the knowledge and experience we pick up as adults. If we are going to shape our thinking and behavior so that it aligns with His will for us, we must let His word penetrate deep into our heart and make all the necessary changes it needs to. The author of Hebrews compares the word of God to a sharp, double edged sword. Just like a sword can cut deep into our flesh and bone, so God’s word cuts to the thoughts and attitudes that we hide deep in our heart. God then can use His word to judge and correct those core beliefs that guide the way we live. Habits, addictions, compulsive behavior, negative emotions can all change, if we let His living and active word work in our heart.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, please use Your word to mold me, change me and make me more like You. Cut to my inner thoughts and beliefs. Judge them, correct them and align them with Yours. In Jesus Name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God’s Word Changes Me
Meditate on today’s verse. Visualize God’s word as living and active changing your thoughts and emotions. Sense God sharing with you, moving in your heart. See His joy as He imparts His word to you penetrating deep into your soul and changing your attitudes.

TODAY’S VERSE
“Make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.”
II Peter 1:5-7 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
A salsa is only as good as its ingredients. Avocado, diced tomatoes, onion, the list of ingredients goes on. Mixing everything together, gathering chips, it was time to taste this masterpiece. As I took my first bite, I was dumbfounded as to how bland the taste was. Knowing the person who prepared the dish, I knew it had to be an error. Sure enough, upon reviewing the recipe, salt and lime juice were missing from the experience. What a difference two ingredients can make. By adding the two missing elements the taste, that the chef had originally intended, was brought forth. Likewise, God has given us a recipe for life and Peter encourages us to make every effort to include all the ingredients needed. We are to start with faith and add goodness. Next is knowledge, self-control and perseverance. Finally, we add the zest: Godliness, brotherly kindness and love. These eight ingredients combine to give us the kind of life God desires for us. Peter ends his thoughts this way. “For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Today, ask God to take these ingredients and help you add them, little by little, to your own life’s recipe.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, help me have the faith I need to live for You. With this faith in place, help me add, day by day; goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, Godliness, brotherly kindness and love. I pray this in Jesus Name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I live my life God’s way
Peter gives us a vision of what the Christian life should be like. Vision it for yourself. Picture God giving you all the faith you need to start. With faith picture Him helping you with goodness, knowledge and self control. Sense what it feels like to live out these attributes. Feel God add to that perseverance and Godliness. Sense His Holy Spirit helping you increase you ability in these areas. Finally, feel Him give you the brotherly kindness and love you need to serve Him. As you wait on Him, feel the presence and power of Holy Spirit fill you and enable you to live for Him.

TODAY’S VERSE
“Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.”
Psalms 103:1 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
What did David know? What had he seen? Was it possible that he knew the difference between ritual and sincere worship? Could he have seen his friends and family, and even himself go through religious motions? Did he feel what Isaiah felt when he wrote, “’This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.” So what did David do? He committed to love God and praise Him with his whole heart. Today, we can do the same. Come to God and love Him with your whole being. Praise Him with your whole heart.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, I come and praise You with all that I am. I come to You with my whole heart. With everything in me, I praise Your holy name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I praise God from the depth of my being
In quiet meditation come before God. As you sit before Him, let your praise come from deep inside you. See yourself loving Him with all your heart. Sense His love filling you as you thank Him and praise Him with your whole being.

TODAY’S VERSE
“Then he asked them, ‘But who do you say I am?”’
Matthew 16:15 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Who do you think Jesus is? Jesus asked this crucial question to His disciples. It is a question that we too must answer. The answer is life changing. What we think about God helps define the relationship we have with Him. If we believe God is distant and aloof, we will find our self distant from Him. If God is harsh and unpredictable, then we will have a relationship based on fear and anxiety. But what if God is exactly the way Jesus exhibited Him? What if the Prodigal’s father was a true representative of the forgiveness and love of God? What if all that Paul writes about our God of faithfulness, mercy and grace is true? Couldn’t that change our life if we really believed it? Yes, it would. Jesus is indeed God in the flesh. His love, sacrifice and tender mercy toward those in need is the exact image of His Father. Today, come to the God that Jesus revealed. Acknowledge that He is the loving, caring, holy, just, faithful, almighty, all knowing and all powerful God and live for Him.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, help me to know You as You really are. Reveal Yourself to me so I can love, worship and honor You with my life. Forgive me for all my misconceptions. Help me to know You in all Your beauty, love and holiness.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I know who Jesus is
Relax and begin to think of everything you know about Jesus. Think of His miracles. Consider His teachings. Visualize Him being full of love and compassion, just like the Bible teaches. Think of all the good He did to those around Him. See Him dying on the Cross for you. Picture His glorious resurrection. This is Jesus, our Savior and our God. Rejoice in Him.

TODAY’S VERSE
“When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.”
Psalms 94:19 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
God created us for peace and joy. But doubt is a reality we all face. Uncertainly, apprehension, distrust and confusion are part of our everyday life. None of us are unscathed. Life is full of ambiguity, but God has made us resilient. His presence and power gives us the comfort and strength we need to bounce back from doubt and painful emotions. The Psalmist says it plainly. When doubt fills our mind, God’s comfort gives us renewed hope and cheer. Today, come to God. Lean on Him. Tell Him your concerns, worries, fears and nagging doubts. Pour your heart out to Him. He cares and He will comfort you. He will bring you back to hope and joy.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, you know how many doubts, fears, apprehensions cross my mind. I need you. I need your comfort. Come Lord Jesus, fill my heart with hope and cheer!
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God returns me from doubt to hope and joy
Come to God today with all your doubts, fears and concerns. See your self before Him. Does He care? Will He make a difference? Sense the doubt in your heart. But in your mind, come closer to Christ. See His face, See His nail scarred hands. Sense His heart full of love for you. Give Him your doubts and misgivings. Today, know deep in your heart that Christ is alive and He wants to fill you with all the hope and joy you can hold.
