TODAY’S VERSE
“The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.”
Psalms 18:2 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
What you believe about God makes a difference. Not in God, but in the way you live. God is constant but your comprehension of God has everything to do with your faith and hope in this world. Look at what David believed. He saw God as his rock, fortress, savior, protection, shield, power and safety. How do you think this affected his attitude during a crisis? Time and experience had taught David well. All that he went through only made him stronger and deepened his beliefs about the God who is there. The God who cares. The God who is able. What is God to you? Is He your rock, fortress and protection? Do you come to Him when the world gets too tough? Is God your power? Can you trust in Him to supply all that you need for each and every day? David felt so and so can you. Today, step out in faith. Ask God to reveal Himself to you and give you a fresh faith like David had. When you do, you will find God to be all that you need.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, please reveal Yourself to me. Help me see what David saw. Help me see You as my rock, fortress, savior, protection, shield, power and safety. Help me step out in faith and trust You today. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God is my rock, my fortress and my Savior
Meditate on the metaphors that David gave us. See God as a great mountain. A rock that becomes a fortress. See yourself protected from harm, living high above the troubles below. Sense the strength of God as He protects you. Visualize yourself coming to Him and He lovingly keeps you from all harm. Picture Him as your protector and as your Savior. See Him as the one who loves you with an everlasting love. It is His love that envelopes you in care and safety. It is His love that allows you to affirm, “God is my rock, my fortress and my Savior.”

TODAY’S VERSE
“You light a lamp for me. The LORD, my God, lights up my darkness.”
Psalms 18:28 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Darkness is the absence of light. Life can be that way. It is unpredictable and messy. Everyone of us has drama in our life. We all have a story. We all have times when there is the absence of any light and we are simply left in the dark, wondering what to do. David experienced this. He had his difficulties, but instead of staying in the dark, he turned to God for help. He cried out to God and God became his light. He wrote, “You light a lamp for me. The LORD, my God, lights up my darkness.” Today, if things become unclear, if you are bombarded with problems, or if dark clouds start to clutter up your sky, turn to God. He will light your path.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for being a light in my life. Whenever I have been left in the dark Your light has been right there. Thank You for being a lamp for my path showing me where to go. Guide me today I pray.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
God shines light into my darkness
It is not hard to picture darkness. Sit for a moment and let yourself see a deep dark cave of blackness. After a moment, look at the distance and see a little light. The light begins to approach and gets bigger and bigger. Soon the light is permeating the whole room until there is no more darkness. Visualize God doing the same to your day. As you go on your journey see God with you, casting light on the different shades of gray in your life. Sense the joy in your heart as you can see life clearer and feel the radiance of His light fill your soul with peace.

TODAY’S VERSE
“I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him.”
Ephesians 1:19 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Here is a mystery. How in the world can I have something so great in my possession and totally ignore it? If I was a soldier on a mission I would be conscious that I had powerful weapons at my disposal. If I were a rich man going on a vacation, I would be fully aware of my financial ability. Yet day after day I live my life as if there were no presence of God or any of His power available for my life. How can this be? Is it that I am not conscious that I am in a spiritual battle therefore Christ’s power has no relevance to my life? Is it pride or arrogance that allows me to live as if everything depends on me instead of Christ? I thank God that Paul realized this spiritual cancer and set an example for us to follow. Paul wrote that I must ask God to help me understand the incredible power that He has available for my spiritual journey. It is with this understanding that I begin to ask God to do mighty things. How about you? Are you applying the power of God in your life? If not, start today. Ask God to help you begin to understand the incredible greatness of His power available for your life.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I pray that You would help me trust You and the power you have available for me. I believe in You Lord, but I need help with my unbelief. I really want to experience Your power alive in every aspect of my life. I ask this in the name of Jesus.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I understand God’s incredible power available for my life
Allow God to take you on a journey. Come before Him in quietness. Confess your ignorance of His mighty power and ask Him to reveal it to you. Visualize God creating the world. See Him speaking to Moses in the mountain. Imagine being with Jesus as He performs His miracles. Quietly sense the magnitude of His being. Sense His energy, His majesty, His might. Let Him fill your senses. Pray, “Lord help me understand Your incredible power available for me and my life.”

TODAY’S VERSE
“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”
I John 3:1 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
It is really hard to get our mind around some concepts like infinity, predestination and omnipresence. There are things about God that will take us all eternity to understand. “God’s love for us” was never supposed to be one of them. John emphatically tells us that God’s love for us is proven in the fact that God calls us His children. John even punctuates the fact with the phrase, “And that is what we are!” Can you imagine what our life would be like if we really believed that? How different would work be if we went to our job with the full assurance that we are a child of God? How would our family operate if we really believed that everyone under our roof was seriously God’s child? How different would we approach the challenges that come our way? The truth is most of us wrestle with the concept of being God’s child. We have no clue as to what it means or how it should affect our life. Today this can change. Ask God to help you really grasp what it means to be His child. Ask Him to help you really understand the depths of the love He has lavished on you. It will change your life.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I pray that my life would be a living testimony of the fact that You have lavished Your love on me by making me Your child. Might everything I think, say and do today be shaped by this glorious fact. In Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I am a child of God
Today spend time mediating on the affirmation. Let it’s meaning permeate your soul. Consider the different nuances. Put emphasis on the underlined part. Affirm “I AM a child of God.” This means you. Sense deep in your heart that it is true. God has chosen you. Then affirm, “I am a CHILD OF GOD.” You belong to God. You are His chosen child. Believe it, receive it.

TODAY’S VERSE
“I will tell everyone about your righteousness. All day long I will proclaim your saving power, though I am not skilled with words. I will praise your mighty deeds, O Sovereign LORD. I will tell everyone that you alone are just. O God, you have taught me from my earliest childhood, and I constantly tell others about the wonderful things you do.”
Psalms 71:15-18 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
It’s hard to keep quiet about something you really love. Imagine trying to be quiet about your favorite food, sports team, or hobby. If you were picked for a prestigious job or were asked to spend time with a famous celebrity, everyone would soon find out about it. And yet, isn’t it strange that we call the God of the universe our Father, have all our sins forgiven by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and have the Holy Spirit living in us, yet find ourself going day after day, week after week, month after month never talking about it? Perhaps we need to examine our faith to see if it is real? Maybe we need to examine where God is in our list of priorities? Could it be we need to spend more time getting to know God better? The Psalmist is telling everyone about God. All day long he is proclaiming God’s love and power and the wonderful things He is doing. Today, pray and ask God to give you the same joy and zeal in your heart.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I am so easily distracted with everything in this world that I often forget all that you mean to me. Forgive me. Thank You for all You have done in my life. Thank You for Your salvation and all Your provisions. I praise You, Lord, and will tell others of all Your goodness.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I will tell others about the love of God
Focus on God’s abiding presence in your life. Think of His love and how you are His own special creation. Imagine you having a relationship with God where you communicated with Him and He aided you in your daily life. See God answering your prayers and feel a joy well up inside of you. Visualize yourself telling others about God’s presence in your life and how they could have the same thing. Affirm today, “I will tell others about the love of God.”

TODAY’S VERSE
“Acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts.”
I Chronicles 28:9 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
It is easy to say that we are a Christian. There isn’t much of a demand being placed on that confession. As far as the world knows, saying that you are a Christian doesn’t mean much. Statistically the lives of Christians doesn’t differ that much from their secular counterpart. But that is not the way God intended it to be. He doesn’t want lip service, He wants our lives. We have been called to follow Christ in the way we think, feel and behave. David knew the seriousness of following God. When he commissioned his son, Solomon, to build the Temple, he challenged Solomon to live Godly. He told him to acknowledge God as the Lord of everything and serve Him with both wholehearted devotion and a willing mind. God doesn’t want pretense, He wants sincerity and authenticity. That is why He searches our heart and motives. Today, dedicate your life for His service. Decide to serve Him wholeheartedly.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for the opportunity to serve You. Help me to be true to You and to serve You with wholehearted devotion and a willing mind. In Jesus’ Name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I willingly serve God with all my heart
Picture yourself happily serving God. Sense His affection toward you. Feel your joy as you willingly do His will. Take a deep breath and let your dedication to God fill your being and as you exhale affirm, “I willingly serve God with all my heart.”

TODAY’S VERSE
“We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.”
II Peter 1:16 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
The Bible makes it plain that there is a spiritual battle going on for the souls of mankind. It is more that good verses bad. Part of the satanic plan is to imitate God’s plan. We are warned that Satan often comes as a “angel of light.” For century’s fiction has imitated the Supernatural. Fairytales, myths, folk stories with magical powers and super heroes not only imitate the supernatural, they plant a seed of doubt in actually believing that the Bible is true. After all a fairytale is make believe so why believe the stories told in Scriptures. Peter knew this was happening. That is why he insisted that we know that he and the other disciples were not following some clever invented story. Instead they were sharing about what they actually witnessed. They witnessed the very power and majesty of Christ. Majesty, that splendor of character, greatness, authority and sovereign power that Christ exhibited in the way He lived. What if you and I could say with Peter that we were eyewitnesses of this same power and majesty today? We can you know. We can experience the real, living Christ today, just like the disciples. Ask Christ if it is true? Go ahead. Talk to Him about His power and majesty. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Today begin a deeper walk with Him. If you do, you too will join Peter and the millions of others, who through the centuries, have known His power and majesty.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I want to know You in all Your power and majesty. I want to be an eyewitness of the same kinds of things that Peter experienced. Help me believe. Increase my faith. Make Your supernatural presence a reality in my life. I pray this in Jesus’ name.
AMEN

TODAY’S AFFIRMATION & MEDITATION
I am a witness of God’s power and majesty
Today meditate on God’s power and majesty. Think of Him in all His power. See Him in His majesty. Sense His goodness, His kindness, His grace, His love toward you. Feel His fierceness, His creative power. Visualize standing in His regal presence. Let His power and majesty feel your being and captivate your imagination. Affirm, “I am a witness of God’s power and majesty.”
