No Shame

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
Ephesians 1:4 (NLT)

Guilt, shame, condemnation, these negative concepts fill the minds of so many Christians. They are the result of events, circumstances and lies that have shaped us. How contrary to what God thinks of us. Paul wants us to see the truth so he takes us back to the beginning, before we were ever influenced in this world. He shows us who we really are. He confirms that before the world was ever made, you were part of God’s plan. He created you holy and without any shame. So even though you were born into an earthly family you were first born into God’s. Paul writes, “God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.” Can you imagine that? God received great pleasure in creating you. He sees you as His child, holy, without fault in His eyes. The question is, do you? Today, believe it. See yourself as you really are, God’s beloved child.

Dear Father, thank You that before You made the world, You loved me and chose me in Christ to be holy and without fault in Your eyes. Thank You for adopting me into Your family. Help me today to live in this wonderful spiritual reality.
