Hope

TODAY’S VERSE

And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.
Psalms 39:7 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Where do you put your hope? Hope is that feeling of expectation. It is the anticipation of realizing our aspirations and desires come to fruition. But what makes David’s hope more than wishful thinking is the object of His hope. His hope was in the Lord God Jehovah! Because of who God is, David’s hope was a confident expectation, a firm assurance that God would do what He said He would. He could trust God’s love. He could believe God’s word. His hope was in God. So today where can you put your hope? Put it in God.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, forgive me for putting my hope in everything else but You. I can’t make it by myself. I need You. Today Lord, I put all my trust in You and Your love for me.
AMEN
