Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation.
II Thessalonians 3:16 (NLT)
True peace comes from God. It is something we all long for, but how does God give us, “His peace all of the time in every situation?” Paul tells us how. He writes to the Philippians, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” If you trust in God, He will give you a peace that passes all your understanding. He said it this way to the church in Rome, “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him.” Today, stop being anxious; instead, trust in God. Quit worrying and pray joyfully about your situation. If you do, you will experience the deep, satisfying, enduring peace of God.
Dear Lord, God of all peace. Please fill me with Your peace today as I put my trust in You.
