Encouragement

TODAY’S VERSE
But God, who encourages those who are discouraged, encouraged us.
II Corinthians 7:6 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
It is easy to become discouraged. Finances, health, relationships, career, family. Everyone of them can present us with tremendous challenges and ample opportunity for discouragement. The good news is that there is someone bigger than our situation. Paul knew it. He writes, “When we arrived in Macedonia, there was no rest for us. We faced conflict from every direction, with battles on the outside and fear on the inside.” And then he adds the phrase that changes everything. He writes, “But God.” It doesn’t get any better that that. He writes, “But God who encourages those who are discouraged, encouraged us.” In this case God did it through the arrival of Titus to minister with Paul. I don’t know how God will do it for you, but today you have the God who encourages the discouraged. Watch for it, let Him encourage you.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, You are the great encourager. I pray that in Your own marvelous way, You would encourage my heart today. In Jesus’ name.
Amen
