Be Filled With The Spirit

TODAY’S VERSE
After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.
Acts 4:31 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Our Holy God’s Spirit is powerful and mighty. The early Church experienced this. In one incident, when they were filled with the Spirit, the meeting place literally shook with power, and they went and preached with boldness. Today, God wants to fill you with this same Holy Spirit. The word “fill” means “to be under the influence of.” Now it is easy to be filled with emotions. Fear, sorrow, and anger can consume you or bring you under their influence. These strong emotions can control your life. But today, you have a choice. Instead of painful emotions, you can invite the Holy Spirit to guide, direct and fill your life. The result of this filling is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Isn’t that what you want to be filled with? Ask God to fill you with His Spirit today.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for the presence of Your Holy Spirit. I ask that You fill me with Your Spirit and produce love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in my life.
AMEN
