TODAY’S THOUGHT
Most things in life are achieved through perseverance. Without it, we cannot mature. Learning, growth, achievement, worthwhile goals in life are all achieved through a process. Without perseverance, we will not finish the journey we set out on. So Paul prays. He prays for the church that they would be strengthened with God’s glorious power. God’s power enables us to hang in there. The Holy Spirit comforts and empowers us to endure, be patient, and wait. One step after another, one day at a time, God helps us persevere. The joy is in the goal, but the growth is in the journey. Today, tap into the power God has available for you. Come to Him; ask Him to make you aware of His presence. In the power of His presence, you will find all the endurance and patience you need.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I cannot persevere without You. I need the strength that comes from Your glorious power. Today make me keenly aware of Your presence and give me all the endurance and patience I need.
AMEN
