Brokenhearted

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

TODAY’S THOUGHT
I’ve been there. Have you? You know, when you feel like giving up hope. When your head is spinning, and you don’t know what to do. When reality starts to set in, and you feel dizzy and sick. When your heart is so heavy, you can hardly breathe. When you sob so hard, you don’t think you have any tears left. None of us goes through this life unscathed. We all have a story. But what I absolutely love about today’s verse is the assurance that no matter what we go through, God is close to the brokenhearted. The fact is that when our spirits are crushed, we can count on the Lord to help us return to joy. Today, turn to Him. Lift up your face; the Lord is near.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear gracious Father. Thank You for Your love. Praise You for Your comfort when I am brokenhearted and Your rescue when my spirit is crushed. I need You, Lord. Your unfailing Love never fails.
AMEN
