TODAY’S VERSE
The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are weighed down. The LORD loves the godly. The LORD protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows.
Psalms 146:8-9 (NLT)
TODAY’S THOUGHT
Have you ever seen another side of someone and you asked them, “Who are you?” It happens. We can become so focused on our own life that we fail to notice the lives of those around us. How much more this can happen to our knowledge of God. Sure we read the scripture, we go to church. We have a head full of facts, historical references and Biblical doctrine but we never slow down to really know Him. Most the time our God is too small, too legalistic and too religious. If you really want to know God then examine love. Know what compassion is. Experience it. When you start to know love you are getting close. When that love becomes unconditional you are getting closer. When you can be compassionate toward yourself you are almost there. The Psalmist knew God. God is love. Today, get to know Him.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Dear Father, help me to know Your loving nature. Nothing else matters. I want to know love, live love and worship You as love. Help me I pray, lover of my soul.
AMEN
